The return of the madman (English version)

Shameful behavior that of President Donald Trump and VP J.D. Vance on Feb. 28, 2025 when they received Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the White House. Never before a foreign chief of state visiting the seat of the U.S. government had been so mistreated, shut up, humiliated, and sent out like that. Zelensky was ambushed by Trump and Vance: he was invited to the White House to sign an understanding involving Ukraine minerals in exchange for continued military assistance and guaranties against further Russian aggression. Instead, Zelensky found himself in a booby trap ; he was violently reprimanded by the two who tried to make him give up on his country saying Ukraine has already lost the war against the Russian invasion and there was nothing else he could do about it. In an unheard-of move, both Trump and Vance repeatedly called upon him, did not let Zelensky talk, accused him of not being grateful, and of offending the US. In the end, the Ukrainian president was expe...

A traitor and his warmonger ally

The figure above was posted by someone in an American thread on Twitter. One of the largely repeated promises during Trump's presidential campaign was that he would end the Russia-Ukraine war "in 24 hours" . He never said how he would do that, but since he said it would be "for humanitarian reasons" , many of us were led to believe he was being truthful. He has now been in power for a month and the only thing he has effectively done so far is to announce the end of the U.S. military aid to Ukraine, a torn-apart country that is now being  served on a silver plate to Russia . I have just seen Trump say that "Ukraine should have given up land three years ago" in order to put an end to war, and he also called President Zelensky a dictator. Volodymyr Zelensky was voted by the Ukrainian people in general elections, that is why he is president.  Those words might be an indication that Trump may be in the early stages of dementia. In 2022,  Ukraine was i...

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine: 7 months on

The invasion of Ukraine by Putin’s Russia is today 7 months old.  These are a few of the opinions I have been posting on social networks even before the Russian invasion began. This saga begins in 2014 when suddenly, and without prior notice, Putin sent his troops to invade and annex the Crimea peninsula that so far Russia had been leasing from Ukraine. At the time, the NATO countries and the USA refused to see the danger. Some even said,  “Well, after all, the Crimea peninsula had always been Russia’s” . Then in February 2022 Putin started to pile up tanks and troops along the Russian-Ukrainian and Belarus-Ukrainian borders. One had to be too dumb not to see it coming. Putin tried to fool the world with allegedly joint military exercises  with the Belarus’ puppet regime. It was clear then that Russia’s real intentions were to get ready for the invasion with the excuse to defend the Eastern Ukraine Russian-speaking separatist provinces. At first the West washed...
